Lana West, a high school teacher, has plans to spend a quiet summer doing anything but being around teenagers. Lana West was a high school teacher who thought she didn’t like teenagers until she meets Mark Branson, the new youth director at her church. He ropes her into helping him on adventures with the youth, including a two-week camping trip. Lana has always needed to be in control, but she begins to see she needs to give God control instead. That begins by loving and caring for others, and somehow Mark climbs to the top of that category.These were interesting characters, but Lana seemed to have an overabundance of flaws for a main character. I didn’t like the way Mark often complained about Lana’s personality and tendencies, even in teasing. It made him seem awfully judgmental, but he only did this with Lana. There was also a lot if dialogue where the speaker wasn’t tagged, and it could be confusing. The novel was certainly worth reading, however.

What a delightful read for teens and adults. Gail has such a great sense of humor and many great lessons to practice and share. Highly recommend this book and will watch for more of Gail Gaymer Martin!
This one was different in that Mark didn't jump in and try to rescue Lana when she was headed for trouble but let her learn from her mistakes. A real help mate. Good book. Thanks.
This is a sweet, Christian love story. It took a little over three hours to read this story. It's light hearted with several laughs but also contains spiritual teaching and basic biblical truth. A well edited and pleasant book. No evil bad guys or hidden mystery but a story of the heart and life in Christ.
So good to read a book that is centered around God and His love for us!! While fun to read and laugh along with Mark and Lana, it was almost too easy. Nothing seemed to go seriously wrong until the very end and even then it wasn't major. Life is never this easy. All in all this was a good book.
Five stars for entertainment, romance, humor, and biblical truth. Gail Gaymer Martin draws the reader in from page one with light-hearted and deeply satisfying storytelling. Over Her Head is a quick, fun read that brought back memories of my own church camp experiences, the adults that invested time in my life, and the kids I've ministered to in my adult years. Everyone from teens to mature readers will enjoy this touching story.
Nice to see this e-book on special. Hope others will choose to read it and enjoy it as much as I did. As someone else mentioned this book also brought me back to my teenage youth group years.I really enjoy Gail Gaymer Martin's books. She is one of my favorite authors. I am now reading another one of her e-books that I am also enjoying. You can't go wrong with Gail's books if you are looking for a Christian romance book.
The author had a great theme by showing how the main character changed in her attitudes. I liked the way they met and continued. There is a lot of above average story telling in here. But, since it was a camp environment I just suffered from reading as if I was there...I don't like camping. The setting wasn't for me. Also, as one who has worked as a youth leader, I wasn't excited about the boy-girl match made. We separate the boys and girls to sit on separate couches. I can't see this part of the story happening. The romantic parts were cheesy. Nice story though.
