Find yourself being transported as you walk along the life and journey of Jesus' time on earth. An excellent resource if you would like to experience the world as it was over two thousand years ago.
I love the way Troy writes. He keeps the ideas simple and straight forward with a complete understand of what he is writing about. Yes, he is one of my favorite writers for a good reason; You feel as though he is talking with you on a personal basis and you walk way with a greater understanding of the material. Keep up the great work Troy.
I feel a better understanding of Jesus' life while he was on earth after reading this book. It is broken down and reveals the core of who Jesus is. His love for us amazes me.
The book contains thought provoking material and could have been well written. Much of the commentary by good authors must have been done in interviews with voice recognition software. "you know" and "I think" abound. Wrong words are printed and words repeated. These interviews should have been edited. The poor presentation is a distraction from the good material. It appears that there was much planning that went into this and it was wasted because it simply isn't finished. Whether deadlines played a part or someone thought this would be a way to go, it was a poor choice. I would like to see the book edited and reissued. Then it would be excellent. As it is I would not recommend, loan, give away, or use it in a home group bible study.
The story was good, but there were so many grammatical and spelling errors, i.e., "Chris" for "Christ", that it was distracting.
Not quite finished yet, but is an outstanding view of Jesus's life as he was growing up; Yes I would recommend it.
Troy Schmidt provides wonderful insight into scripture and what Christ went through to allow us the opportunity to have salvation. He wrote this book in a way that the reader can learn so much about Jesus's life on earth while also making all of the information relatable and personal to the reader.
